Chia is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, rich in antioxidants, and they provide fiber, iron, and calcium. We are huge fans of these little seeds and try to incorporate them into our day, here is a little recipe we love and think you will too!
3 tablespoons Chia seeds
1/2 cup oat milk or milk of choice
½ Fresh banana
1 tbsp vanilla protein
1 teaspoon rice malt syrup or other sweetener, optional
Blueberries or other fruits for topping
Combine milk and chia seeds into a small bowl and stir, the chia will start to absorb the liquid so stir at intervals for 10min to keep the chia from sticking together, add more milk depending how thick or runny you want it.
Slice banana and place at the bottom of your bowl, top with some coconut flakes and then your prepared chia.
Top with fruits and drizzle over some rice malt syrup, coconut flakes, cinnamon or other toppings of choice.
